5^th Street NE & SE Bicycle Boulevard

The 5^th Street NE Bicycle Boulevard is anticipated to run along the following streets:

- 5^th Street NE, between 26^th Avenue NE and Washington Street NE

- 5^th Street SE, between 2^nd Avenue SE and 8^th Avenue SE

- 26^th Avenue NE, between 5^th Street NE and University Avenue NE

It will connect to the University Avenue bike path on the north (to St Anthony Parkway) and the 5^th Street Pedestrian Bridge over I-35W on the south. 5^th Street between Washington Street NE and 2^nd Avenue SE will not gain official “bike boulevard” status. It will include bicycle lanes or “sharrows,” also known as shared lane markings.

Parking removal is being explored on 5^th Street NE between Washington Street NE and 3^rd Avenue NE, on the east side, next to St Anthony Park and Webster School. View the special flyer (pdf) for this section of 5^th Street.
