Data & Research
In an effort to document changes in bicycling and improve the safety of bicyclists, the City of Minneapolis collects data and evaluates bicycle projects on a regular basis. Currently, Public Works collects the following data related to bicycling in Minneapolis:
- Bicyclist Traffic Counts
- Documentation and Analysis of Bicyclist-Motorist Traffic Crashes
- New Project Evaluation
- Other Reporting, including bicycle commute data from the U.S. Census Bureau, bicycle traffic on the Midtown Greenway, localized mode share data, and miles of bikeways.
