Bicycle Registration

Register Your Bicycle

Consider registering your bicycle with the City of Minneapolis Bicycle Registration Database. Registering your bicycle greatly increases the chances it will be returned to you if recovered.

You simply need to provide your contact information, bicycle serial number (located on bottom of crank shaft or on the fork supporting the handle bars), and other basic information. You only need to register once unless you need to update contact information or bicycle details.

You can register your bicycle online or by calling Minneapolis 311.

Has Your Bicycle Been Stolen?

Report the theft immediately to the Minneapolis Police Department. If your bicycle was stolen as a result of a break-in within your home or garage, call 911 to report the burglary.

The Minneapolis Police Department can also help you recover your bicycle. Call the Minneapolis Property & Evidence Warehouse at 612-673-5665 before visiting. The warehouse is not open to the general public on a drop-in basis.
