Projects & Planning

New bikeway projects are managed by one of three agencies in Minneapolis: Hennepin County, the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, and Minneapolis Public Works. 45 miles of bikeways have been funded for construction through 2010 and 2011. That’s a 37% increase in miles over the pre-2010, 123-mile total.

To see a visual of all new projects, view the Minneapolis Bikeways: Existing, Funded, & Planned (pdf) map. Several projects are funded through the Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program. New projects also include six bike boulevards.
