Purpose |
Carries out the City's human relations policies. Promotes civil rights and enforces the civil rights provisions of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances.

Meeting Schedule |
The full commission meets the 3rd Monday of each month. Members also generally also serve on sub-committees and may serve on panels that hear complaints of citizens who allege violations of their civil rights. |

Membership |
21 (a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 8 members shall be attorneys); 14 are appointed by the Mayor with Council approval, 7 are appointed by Council subject to the Mayor's veto. |
