Senior Citizens Advisory Committee Vacancy
The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee to the Mayor and City Council was created by in 1976 to advise the Mayor and City Council on concerns relating to senior citizens & to recommend actions to solve such concerns, to act as a liaison for the senior citizen community, and to advise and suggest programs and activities of value to senior citizens and the City of Minneapolis.
Deadline: Open until filled. The application review process will begin Friday April 26th, 2013
Vacancy:
- Seat 14: Representative from an organization that funds or provides key services to seniors; with a term of immediately - 12/31/2013;
seat does not have an incumbent seeking re-appointment..

Selection Process:
Applications are forwarded from the City Clerk to the Mayor and City Council President for their consideration and Applications are forwarded to the chair of Public Safety, Civil Rights & Health Committee for recommendation to the full City Council.
Additional Information:
Meetings are held once per month, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month
Participation in at least one standing committee is required.
Attendance: any member who has more than three unexcused absences in any calendar year will be replaced.
Members may not serve more than three consecutive terms.
There is no compensation.
The Commission meeting locations are accessible to persons who are disabled.
