The Minneapolis Capital Long-Range Improvement Committee (CLIC) was created to make recommendations to the City Council and Mayor on the five-year capital improvement program.

There are currently one (1) vacancy for a term beginning immediately, and ending December 31, 2018.

Council Member and Mayoral appointee applications are forwarded from the City Clerk to the Mayor and City Council members for their consideration. Applications are reviewed by the Ways and Means Committee for recommendation to the full Council.
The main CLIC body meets approximately two to three times per month from March through July. Meetings generally occur on Tuesdays at noon in City Hall and last one to two hours plus additional meetings as called by the Chair. There are also two all day presentation sessions that typically last from 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and may include a Saturday. A valid e-mail address is necessary to be considered for these positions. There is no compensation for attending meetings but a transportation stipend per meeting attended is provided if requested. CLIC meeting locations are accessible to persons with disabilities.
The committee is comprised of 33 members. The Mayor appoints 7 at-large; the City Council Members appoint 2 members per ward. Members serve two-year terms expiring December 31 of even-numbered years.
