Project Type: Parkway Renovation The work will include full depth removal of the pavement on the parkway and replacing it with a new bituminous or concrete surface. Minor repair work will also be done on some of the curb and gutter along the parkway. The new concrete surface will be placed between Dean Parkway and Sheridan Avenue South. The remainder of the Parkway will be renovated in asphalt. There is no additional right-of-way needed for the project. Project Limits: This project is located in west Minneapolis and surrounds Lake of the Isles. Construction Start Date: Phase 1 of Construction is now complete and open to traffic. Phase 2 of Construction is now complete and open to traffic. Phase 3 of Construction is now complete and open to traffic. Phase 4 of Construction will start on July 7th and be completed around the end of July. Length of Construction: The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of July. Traffic Impact: Motorists are urged to avoid using Isles Parkway and use alternate routes while the Parkway is under construction. The Parkway is closed and detoured for phase 4 of the project between Franklin Avenue and Kenwood Parkway. Project Updates: The project is now complete.
