34th Avenue South Street Reconstruction

The City of Minneapolis proposes to reconstruct 34th Avenue South between East Minnehaha Parkway and 58th Street East. The proposed project is scheduled to occur over the course of the 2019 and 2020 construction seasons and will consist of improvements to the roadway, sidewalk and utilities. City staff is currently in the preconstruction stage for the project.

34th Ave S from 50th St to 58th St will be completed in 2019; 50th St to Minnehaha Pkwy is planned for 2020.

Project Type

This project encompasses the entire right-of-way and include full removal of the existing street, subgrade correction, new pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalk as needed, streetscape elements as needed, utility work as needed, pavement markings, signals, and signage.

Project Limits

The 34th Ave South project is located in south Minneapolis from East Minnehaha Parkway to 58th Street East.
