Bloomington Ave S Pedestrian Improvements
Part of the project is pedestrian improvements planned on Bloomington Ave S at 22nd St E.
The other part of the project is pedestrian improvements on Bloomington Ave S at 27th St E.
In 2019, the Minneapolis Public Works Department, plans to construct a pedestrian safety project on Bloomington Ave at the intersections of E 22nd St and E 27th St. This project will include infrastructure enhancements to create a safer environment for pedestrians attempting to cross Bloomington Ave.

The goals of this bikeway project include:
- Support demand for safe crossings
- Enhance comfort and predictability of all users
- Reduce crossing distance for pedestrians
- Upgrade curb ramps to be ADA compliant
July - November 2018: Public Works will collect data and initiate a community engagement process.
December - January 2018: Public Works will develop a layout concept.
February 2019: Public Works to provide a design recommendation.
Summer 2019: Anticipated implementation of the project.
