North Loop Paving & Pedestrian Enhancements

The proposed project will reconstruct portions of 3rd St N, 5th Ave N, 7th Ave N, 8th Ave N and 9th Ave N adding up to approximately 0.8 miles of street within the North Loop neighborhood. The project is a reconstruction project involving the entire right-of-way and will include new sidewalks, ramps, pavement, curb and gutter, and utility improvements. The project will also include signal improvements, new signage, and new pavement markings, as needed.

Construction will begin in April 2019 and complete in Spring 2020.

Final Preliminary Concept
The project team has developed a final recommended concept that will be brought to City Council Transportation & Public Works Committee on March 27th for consideration for layout approval.

Final Preliminary Concept
The project team has developed an updated preliminary concept, which takes into consideration input from the previous meetings with various stakeholders. The concept will be brought to the City's Heritage Preservation Commission on December 12th 2017 for further feedback. An final project planning meeting will be held on December 18th 2017 to discuss this  concept. Feedback from these two meetings will be considered in developing the final staff recommended concept to be considered for City Council approval in early 2018.
