Investigatory Detention Study Timeline

Below it's a timeline of events regarding the development of the study:

Action

June 24, 2014 P&P Meeting:

P&P Receives Terry Stop and Search info from DC Glampe.

July 8, 2014 PCOC Meeting:

Commission receives DC Glampe's Terry Stop materials.

August 12, 2014 PCOC Meeting:

Commission approved a proposal to further research into investigatory data collection.

September 23, 2014 P&P Meeting:

P&P learns about CAD, Commissioners discuss Terry stop issues and requested additional information.

October 28, 2014 P&P Meeting:

Sgt. Bantle and Lt. Hoff present to P&P Committee a search and seizure presentation. Commissioners have robust discussion of the issue of documentation. Study starts to formulate.

November 18, 2014 PCOC Meeting:

Full Commission approves the beginning of the study.

December 16, 2014 P&P Meeting:

Additional detailed discussion of the study and discussed scope and expectations. P&P Committee will report the outcomes at following Commission meeting.

January 13, 2015 PCOC Meeting:

Commissioners receive more detailed information from the P&P Committee chair about study.

February 10, 2015 PCOC Meeting:

Commission approved the formal development of methodology and referred it to the P&P committee.

February 24, 2015 P&P Meeting:

Study methodology presented to P&P committee. P&P Committee refers methodology to full Commission.

March 10, 2015 PCOC Meeting:

Methodology is presented. Approved by full Commission.

March 19, 2015 P&P Meeting:

Status update on the report and completion timeframe.

April 14, 2015 PCOC Meeting:

Completed study presented and adopted by the full Commission.
