CPED also reports to the Board of Commissioners and Operating Committee of the Minneapolis Community Development Agency (MCDA) on matters that remain legally linked to the MCDA, a formerly independent agency, the staffing functions of which were integrated into CPED in 2003. City Council Standing Committees City Council Standing CommitteesAll City departments report to the City Council through its standing committees. Committee recommendations are then forwarded to the full City Council for consideration. CPED frequently reports to the following standing committees of the Council: Community Development Committee (CD)The Community Development Committee considers matters relating to housing and economic development, including proposals for housing, commercial and industrial projects and how they will be financed.
