- Through the help of the City’s network of experienced employment service providers, you can easily reach your desired candidates.
- Providers screen and refer qualified applicants for open positions at your company. Job candidates are pre-screened by certified career development professionals; many candidates have recently completed training to upgrade their skills.
- Providers can offer assistance in recruiting and hiring a diverse workforce.
- Through the network, you can broadcast your company’s job opening quickly and for free, to pre-screened and qualified candidates.
- METP can work with you to apply to the Minnesota Job Skill Partnership Board, a state-funding source that provides dollars to help train your current workforce or to create customized training for your future workforce.
- RENEW, a collaborative project between the City of Minneapolis and Ramsey County Workforce Solutions, builds capacity for green enterprise in the Twin Cities by strategically connecting businesses with a trained workforce.

- The City offers assistance from a professional labor market analyst who can help you find and understand labor market data and industry trends that impact your business.
- If a new development is sought, the City will work with you to create a Workforce Plan to help you maximize the community benefit of your investment.
- The Minneapolis Job Linkage Program provides a framework for city economic development programs and projects. Job Linkage agreements encourage businesses to establish five-year job hiring and retention goals, hire Minneapolis residents and pay living wages
- The City provides information and technical assistance on programs that could lower your tax bill.
- The City can direct you to the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), a Federal tax credit incentive that the Congress provides to private-sector businesses for hiring individuals from nine target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment.

- Participate in the City’s STEP-UP youth employment program by hiring interns and mentoring career-minded and motivated youth who are ready to do real work. The program prepares, trains, and places hundreds of Minneapolis youth in local jobs each summer.
