Environmental Services – Water Quality
Minneapolis Environmental Services is charged with protecting and enhancing the Citys water resources. This includes surface waters such as lakes, streams, and the Mississippi River as well as groundwater, runoff water, and wetlands. Environmental Services works to meet its goals by participating in the Monitoring and Recovery Well Program, responding to emergency spills, performing inspections on all demolition and construction sites in the City, and planning for the long-term health of water resources through watershed management.
