Health and Wellness Classes

The list of health and wellness classes below are worth 25 points each in the My Health Rewards program. To enroll in a class, log in to COMET – Learning and Development, and enter a keyword under “Search for Learning". 

Please Note:  In order to receive points for the class, you need to self-report your attendance.  To to the Rewards page of your My Health Rewards website. Scroll down to the "Complete Healthy Activities" section and click on "Attend a City of Minneapolis sponsored health and wellness class" then click Earn. You can get points for up to two classes in a year.

This program will offer tips for finding the food that’s best for us at a price we can afford to pay and includes affordable, healthy recipes. Learn how planning, wise shopping and decreasing waste can all help you eat healthier at a price you can afford.

Estate Planning
This seminar does not offer legal advice but it does explain the documentation needed for estate planning. You’ll learn the terms for will planning, guardianships and trusts, as well as review the pros and cons of various options. This is a great introduction if you are considering Estate Planning.

This training will provide an overview of the ergonomic factors that affect daily work of employees at the City. Employees can learn about the risk factors that potentially contribute to accidents/injury or work-related musculoskeletal disorders and strategies for injury prevention. Increase awareness of work place ergonomics, understand the breadth and scope of office/ occupational ergonomics, obtain basic knowledge in the application of ergonomic principles to design of your workplaces and the prevention of work related injuries and learn how to get help adjusting your work station.
