The mission of the Human Resources Department is to strategically partner with City Departments to hire, develop and retain an excellent workforce.
Overview
The Human Resources Department consists of the following four divisions: Administration, Human Resources Technology Systems, Employment, Development & Diversity, and Employee Services. The services provided by the Human Resources Department include:
- Employee Benefit Administration
- Collective Bargaining and Labor Contract Administration
- Compensation Administration
- Diversity Management and Inclusion
- Employment Services including Coordination of City-wide Recruitment
- Employee and Organization Development
- Job Classification
- Policy Development and Implementation
- Respect in the Workplace Investigations
- Support and Administration of the City's Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
