  • Minimum wage ordinance took effect Jan. 1, 2018

    The City of Minneapolis' new municipal ordinance took effect Jan. 1, 2018. For the first phase of the ordinance, large businesses with more than 100 employees are required to pay workers at least $10 an hour.

  • Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance

    For healthy workers, healthy businesses and healthy communities, a new ordinance protecting time off for people who get sick and work in Minneapolis took effect July 1, 2017. The goal of the ordinance is to protect public health and prevent workers from being penalized because of illness or a need to care for a sick loved one.

the job title of the three highest paid employees along with their base salary. For 2017 these were:
1.City Coordinator, $183,938
2.Assistant City Coordinator Convention Center, $180,000
3.City Attorney, $178,332
