Director Contract Compliance - Civil Rights $87,486 - $103,709 Annually

 

The City of Minneapolis is seeking a Director of Contract Compliance (Civil Rights) whose mission is to ensure that City of Minneapolis procurement of construction and development services, commodities and supplies, and professional and technical services includes women, minorities, and low income workers and businesses.  The position is responsible for five program areas including affirmative action, women and minority business inclusion, minority and female employment, residential and low income inclusion, and the prevailing wage program (Davis Bacon). Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 5 years of related experience. PLAN EXAMINER I $31.14 - $37.39/hour

The City of Minneapolis is looking for a person interested in a temporary position (6 months) in the Plan Review Section of Minneapolis Construction Code Services. Our role is to review for compliance with state building code and city ordinances the wide variety of residential and commercial construction projects occurring in Minneapolis. This position, depending on your background, will provide code review on either residential or commercial construction projects (or both). Must have an interest in public service and the ability to communicate effectively with architects, designers, contractors, homeowners and business owners. Requires three (3) years of related experience; Degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIT or a closely related field. International Code Council’s Building Plans Examiner certification or Minnesota Building Official certification is highly desired. An equivalent combination of related education/experience may be considered. This position includes employee health insurance benefits. Manager of Residential Finance - $80,150 to $103,098 annually

This position will manage the Single Family or the Multi-Family Housing Development Division of the Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) Department. Supervise, plan, administer, and monitor complex financing programs and projects designed to improve or redevelop multifamily affordable, mixed income, lifecycle housing, fair housing, and transit-oriented development options in the City. Lead and supervise staff, establish and communicate assignments, and monitor performance. Provide technical guidance in the area of multi-family housing development and finance and strategic real estate investment. Qualifications:  Public Administration, Finance, Urban Planning, a related field or equivalent. Eight years of relevant experience in management, residential development, property and finance. Intern Auditor – Paid Internship 

The City of Minneapolis Internal Audit Department is looking to fill a part-time, internship opening.  The position is for up to 12 months starting in September 2016The intern in this role will work closely with the Internal Audit staff in serving Minneapolis and the public interest by providing the City Council, Mayor, and management with objective services to help minimize risks, improve internal controls, maximize efficiencies, reduce cost and strengthen accountability. The Intern Auditor will also interact with financial and operational management personnel across the City and will be exposed to financial and business operations. Qualifications: Must be an undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student within 24 months of graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Government, Political Science or a related field. Salary: Paid internship; Salary depends on qualifications (DOQ).

Custodian, Property Services – Exam #2016-00062 / $13.84 - $16.76 Hourly

The Custodial Services Team is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment at the locations we are assigned to clean as well as upkeep of the exterior grounds and safety related issues (some minor snow and ice removal in winter months) as assigned. This job opportunity does not guarantee full-time permanent City employment or benefits. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions. Must have the ability to complete online computer training modules as assigned by Supervisor. Experience: We desire a candidate with 3 years of Custodial or Housekeeping experience. However, we will accept applicants with a minimum of at least 1 year of Experience working in a cleaning company/organization. Working Conditions: Indoor/outdoor work with exposure to non-air conditioned or heated spaces, Power equipment, chemicals, dirt, dust, etc. Licenses: Must possess and continue to maintain a valid Driver's License to operate a motor vehicle in Minnesota.
