Super Bowl LII Temporary Activities

On November 17, 2017 The Minneapolis City Council approved a Designated Large Event Zone around U.S. Bank Stadium during the 2018 NFL Super Bowl game and related events.  Our goal is to ensure that the focus of the event remains on the safety and enjoyment of the Super Bowl LII game by the fans, athletes, coaches and the public and to prevent illegal marketing and other unpermitted commercial activities.  Effective dates are from January 26, 2018 – February 5, 2018 and restrictions apply to public and private property.

Many activities require a temporary permit or license before operating.  We encourage you to submit your applications well in advance of your targeted dates to ensure timely approval.  Applications are available on our website at www.minneapolismn.gov/licensing/ or view our list of City of Minneapolis contacts.
