Driver Requirements
The Top Ten List of Taxi Driver Requirements
1. Valid Minnesota drivers license
2. At least one year of driving experience
3. Good driving record
4. At least 18 years old
5. Read, write and speak English
6. No addiction to alcohol or drugs
7. Current D.O.T medical card (pdf)
8. Acceptable criminal history report (pdf)
9. Knowledge of the streets in Minneapolis and the metro area
10. Familiarity with the Minneapolis taxi laws . (Minneapolis Code of Ordinances Chapter 341)
