License Applications
In Minneapolis, taxi service companies, vehicles, and drivers are licensed by the city. The Licenses and Consumer Services Division works with taxicab service companies to provide a fleet of safe taxis, trained drivers, and competitive fares. Vehicles are inspected each year before a license is issued. Additionally, drivers must provide a criminal background report and earn a Taxi Driver Training Certificate.
