Press Release Mayor Rybak Announce Department Head Appointments
Seven City Charter Department Heads Re-Appointed
November 28, 2007 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak today nominated for reappointment seven City Charter Department Heads for additional two year terms:
• Steven Bosacker as City Coordinator
• James Clack as Fire Chief
• Michael Jordan as Civil Rights Director
• Steve Kotke as Public Works Director and City Engineer
• Gretchen Musicant as Commissioner of Health and Family Support
• Mike Christenson as Community Planning and Economic Development Director
• Patrick Todd as City Assessor
Mayor Rybak’s nomination was approved unanimously today by the City’s Executive Committee. Once confirmed by the City Council, the reappointed department heads will serve two-year terms beginning in January 2008. Police Chief Tim Dolan began a three year term in January 2007. In addition to these appointments, the mayor expects to nominate a new City Attorney in December.
