Mayor Hodges: Governor Dayton “continues to advance a vision that moves all of Minnesota forward”
April 9, 2015 (MINNEAPOLIS) – Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges released the following statement after Governor Mark Dayton’s 2015 State of the State address:
“I applaud Governor Dayton for his vision of our state, which strengthens children and families and includes a straightforward, realistic solution to our transportation infrastructure needs. As income inequality soars, the governor’s focus on tax relief for working families and education is a way to rebuild wealth in the middle class and in communities of color.
“Governor Dayton has also put forward solutions to our state’s growing transportation infrastructure needs. From roads, to bridges, to transit, we need honest solutions that will fund our regional and state assets. I thank the Governor for including funding for the 10th Avenue Bridge in his Jobs Bill earlier this week and recognizing the importance of bridges to our transportation needs.
“Under Governor Dayton’s leadership, our state has seen unemployment rates drop, a rise in the minimum wage, and a thriving economy that continues to outpace that of our neighbors. He continues to advance a vision that moves all of Minnesota forward.”
