Mayor's Update - February 12, 2004

1. Chief Bill McManus will be officially sworn in next Tuesday, February 17 at 12:00 noon here in the City Hall Rotunda (350 S. 5^th St). Thanks to many of you who helped select and build support for Chief McManus. I hope you can join us for this historic moment.

2. MAC Noise Contour Open House Scheduled

The Metropolitan Airports Commission will hold a public open house on Thursday, February 19, 2004 from 4 to 8 p.m. to present information regarding the update to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's Part 150 noise compatibility program and noise exposure (contour) maps. The meeting will be held at the Metropolitan Airports Commission's General Office at 6040 28th Ave. S.,

MAC staff and consultants will be available to discuss the process used to generate the updated noise maps, as well as the other elements of the program. The new draft contour maps are available at http://www.macnoise.com/contourfind/index.jsp
