City Clerk's Office

1.    Tours France Sister City honorary resolution (16-00992)

Passage of Resolution commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the sister-city relationship with Tours, France.

Action Taken: Approved.

Public Hearing

City Council

2.    Proposed Charter Amendment: Classified service eligibility register (16-00549)

Conducting a public hearing and considering a proposal to amend the Minneapolis City Charter to eliminate the existing provision for a classified service eligibility register and replacing that requirement with modern procedures established by ordinance.

Action Taken: Approved.

3.    Internal Auditor duties and audit process ordinance (16-00877)

Referring to staff an ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 17 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Administration: Finance Department, clarifying Internal Auditor duties and amending the Audit Committee referral process.

Action Taken: Referred to staff.

City Coordinator’s Office

4.    Performance measures and management system usage and report (16-00994)

Passage of Resolution declaring the City of Minneapolis’ commitment to:

1.    Using and reporting out to the public the 10 city performance measures created by the State of Minnesota Council on Local Results and Innovation.

2.    Continued usage of a performance measurement system.

3.    Continued surveying of our residents on key services as defined by the State of Minnesota Council on Local Results and Innovation.

Action Taken: Approved.


City Clerk’s Office

5.    Petition to amend the City Charter:  Vote15 Now MN minimum wage increase (16-01013)

Receiving a report on the sufficiency of a citizen petition proposing to amend the City Charter in the form of a ballot question to increase the minimum wage in Minneapolis to $15 an hour.

Action Taken: Received and filed with staff directive.

Human Resources

6.    Strategic Workforce Planning (16-00993)

1.       Receiving and filing a report on progress toward the Workforce Assessment and Diversification staff directive dated April 15, 2015.

2.       Approving the Enterprise Workforce Representation goals of hiring:

·         41% of the City’s Workforce as People of Color by 2022.

·         45% of the City’s Workforce as Women by 2022.

Action Taken: The report was received and filed, and the item was continued to the August 3, 2016, Committee of the Whole meeting.
