Police Department

1.    Travel expense donation acceptance from Major Cities Chiefs Association (16-01248)

Passage of Resolution accepting donation for travel related expenses estimated at $700 from Major Cities Chiefs Association for Chief Janee Harteau to present to participants of the Executive Leadership Institute in Charlotte, NC, from Sept. 22-23, 2016 (Refer to WM).

Action Taken:  Approved and referred to WM.

2.    Contract amendment with Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) for security services (16-01249)

Authorizing an extension of revenue contract C-40709 with the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority through Sept. 1, 2016, for the Police Department to provide security services at 1707 3rd Ave S (Refer to WM).

Action Taken:  Approved and referred to WM.

3.    Contract amendment with Hennepin County for operation of detox van (16-01250)

Authorizing an increase to revenue contract C-38858 with Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health of $237,200, for a not-to-exceed total of $711,600, and an extension through December 31, 2017, using the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health contract form for the purpose of operating the Detox Van (Refer to WM).

Action Taken:  Approved and referred to WM.

Emergency Communications/911

4.    Joint Powers Agreement between the State of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center (16-01251)

Passage of Resolution authorizing a Joint Powers Agreement between the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center and the State of Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) granting MECC access to use the systems and tools available over the State’s Criminal Justice Data communications Network (CJDN) for which the City is eligible.

Action Taken:  Approved.

Emergency Management

5.    Contract amendment with Stillwater Emergency Management for Federal Homeland Security Grant Management services (16-01252)

Authorizing an increase to contract C-40287with Stillwater Emergency Management of $25,000, for a not-to-exceed total of $75,000, for a duration not to extend past Dec. 31, 2016, using the Stillwater Emergency Management contract form for Grant Management services (Refer to WM).

Action Taken:  Approved and referred to WM.

Department of Civil Rights

6.    Travel expense donation acceptance from the Center for Law and Social Policy (16-01253)

Passage of Resolution accepting a donation for travel related expenses from the Center for Law and Social Policy, in the amount of $1,200, for Brian Walsh to attend the national conference entitled, “Making Paid Sick Days Work: Sharing Strategies 2016,” co-hosted by the City of San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement, from Sept. 28-Oct. 2, 2016 (Refer to WM).

Action Taken:  Approved and referred to WM.

Receiving a report on the City’s protocol on crime scene cleanup.

Action Taken:  Received and filed.
