Public Works

1.  Sanitary Sewer Service Availability Charges (SAC) (16-01307)

Passage of Resolution adopting and levying assessments for Sanitary Sewer Service Availability Charge (SAC) fees that remain unpaid.

Action Taken: Approved.

2.  Sidewalk repair and construction assessments (16-01308)

Passage of Resolution adopting and levying assessments and adopting the assessment roll for the repair and construction of public sidewalks.

Action Taken: Approved.

3.  Snow and ice removal from public sidewalk assessments (16-01309)

Passage of Resolution adopting and levying assessments and adopting the assessment roll for the removal of snow and ice from public sidewalks.

Action Taken: Approved.

Public Works

4.  Franklin Ave E and W Broadway Ave pedestrian improvements: Grant agreements with Hennepin County (16-01437)

1.    Authorizing cooperative agreements with Hennepin County for pedestrian crosswalk improvements on Franklin Ave E (Lyndale Ave S to 13th Ave S) and W Broadway Ave (Penn Ave N to 4th St N).

2.    Accepting grant awards in the amounts of $27,420 and $48,840 from Hennepin County covering 25% of the construction costs for the improvements.

3.    Passage of Resolution increasing the appropriation and revenue for the projects by $76,260.  (Refer to WM)

Action Taken: Approved and referred to WM.

5.  Hennepin Ave Reconstruction Project:  Request for Proposals (RFP) for engineering and design services (16-01455)

Authorizing the release of an RFP for engineering and design services for the Hennepin Ave Reconstruction Project from 12th St S to Washington Ave.  (Refer to WM)

Action Taken: Approved and referred to WM.

6.  Parking Ramp Elevator Modernization Project:  Contract amendment with Morcon Construction Company (16-01456)

Authorizing the final change order to Contract No. C-39576 with Morcon Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $37,035.86, for a revised contract total of $4,862,903.19, for various additions, updates, and improvements to elevators in various parking ramps through Sept. 16, 2016.  (Refer to WM)

Action Taken: Approved and referred to WM.

7.  Bid for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System (16-01457)

Accepting low bid of Primex Controls (OP No. 8332) in the amount of $418,363.94 to furnish and deliver all labor, materials, and incidentals necessary for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System for the Public Works Surface Water and Sewer Division, and authorizing a contract for the project.  (Refer to WM)

Action Taken: Approved and referred to WM.

8.  Orange Line Construction Plans: Inclusion of 12th Street Transit Ramp  (16-01458)

Passage of Resolution approving an update to the Municipal Consent for a series of projects along I-35W between the I-94 Commons and approximately 42nd St S, commonly referred to as the I-35W and Lake St Transit Access Project, Chapter 152 Bridges Project, and I-35W Rehabilitation Project, to now include the 12th St Transit Ramp, a component of the planned Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System. 

Action Taken: Approved.
