1.    Right-of-way vacation: Regents of the University of Minnesota, a portion of 23rd Ave SE, lying between University Ave SE and 4th St SE (16-00942)

Denying an application by Regents of the University of Minnesota for the vacation (Vac-1493) of the right-of-way for a portion of 23rd Ave SE lying between University Ave SE and 4th St SE.

Action Taken: Denied.

2.    Right-of-way vacation: Regents of the University of Minnesota, a portion of 4th St SE, lying northwesterly of 25th Ave SE (16-00943)

Denying an application by Regents of the University of Minnesota for a vacation (Vac-1494) of the right-of-way for a portion of 4th St SE lying northwesterly of 25th Ave SE.

Action Taken: Denied.

3.    Utility easement vacation: Regents of the University of Minnesota, vacated Union St SE between vacated Arlington St SE and vacated Beacon St SE (16-00944)

1.       Approving an application by Regents of the University of Minnesota for a vacation (Vac-1600) of the utility easement retained in vacated Union St SE between vacated Arlington St SE and vacated Beacon St SE.

2.    Passage of Resolution approving Vac-1600.

Action Taken: Approved.

4.    Right-of-way vacation: Regents of the University of Minnesota, part of Pleasant St SE lying between the north right of way line of Arlington St SE and the south right-of-way line of University Ave SE (16-00945)

1.    Approving an application by Regents of the University of Minnesota for a vacation (Vac-1642) for part of Pleasant St SE lying between the north right-of-way line of Arlington St SE and the south right-of-way line of University Ave SE.

2.    Passage of Resolution approving Vac-1642.

Action Taken: Approved.

5.    Right-of-way vacation: Regents of the University of Minnesota, a portion of Walnut ST SE, north of Washington Ave SE and a portion of Pleasant St SE, south of Arlington St SE (16-00946)

1.    Approving an application by Regents of the University of Minnesota for a vacation (Vac-1656) of a portion of Walnut St SE north of Washington Ave SE, and a portion of Pleasant St SE south of Arlington St SE.

2.    Passage of Resolution approving Vac-1656.

Action Taken: Approved.

6.    Rezoning: Core Minneapolis, 600 Washington Ave SE, 612 Washington Ave SE, and 311 Harvard St SE (16-00956)

Approving an application submitted by Carol Lansing on behalf of Core Minneapolis, LLC,  to rezone (BZZ-7712) the properties located at 600 Washington Ave SE, 612 Washington Ave SE, and 311 Harvard St SE from the R6 Multiple-family District, C1 Neighborhood Commercial District and the C2 General Commercial District to the C3A Commercial Activity Center District, and to add the PO Pedestrian Oriented Overlay District to the entire site, to construct a new 26-story, mixed-use building including 438 dwelling units and 10,500 square feet of commercial space.

Action Taken: Approved.

7.    Minimum lot area requirements for two-family dwellings in the R2 and R2B Zoning Districts ordinance (16-00470)

Passage of Ordinance amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to the Zoning Code, amending minimum lot area requirements for two-family dwellings in the R2 and R2B Two-family Districts:

1.    Chapter 525 Administration and Enforcement.

2.    Chapter 546 Residence Districts.

        Action Taken: Approved

8.    Regulations for fraternities and sororities ordinance (16-00830)

Referring to staff an ordinance amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, amending regulations for fraternities and sororities:

1.    Chapter 520 Introductory Provisions.

2.    Chapter 536 Specific Development Standards.

3.    Chapter 546 Residence Districts.

4.    Chapter 547 Office Residence Districts.

Action Taken: Referred to staff.

9.  Regulation of off-premise advertising signs and billboards ordinance (16-00831)

Referring to staff an ordinance amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, amending regulations for off-premise advertising signs and billboards:

1.    Chapter 525 Administration and Enforcement.

2.    Chapter 544 Off-Premise Advertising Signs and Billboards.

Action Taken: Referred to staff.

10.  Regulation of accessory dwelling units ordinance (16-00867)

Referring to staff an ordinance amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, amending regulations related to accessory dwelling units:

1.    Chapter 525 Administration and Enforcement.

2.    Chapter 535 Regulations of General Applicability.

3.    Chapter 537 Accessory Uses and Structures.

4.    Chapter 551 Overlay Districts.

Action Taken: Referred to staff.

11.  Lowry Hill East Rezoning Study ordinance (16-00872)

Referring to staff an ordinance amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Zoning Code, amending the zoning map as part of a rezoning study in the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood:

1.    Chapter 521 Zoning Districts and Maps Generally.

2.    Chapter 551 Overlay Districts.

Action Taken: Referred to staff.
