Fall 2019

Morning schedule

All of the fall morning learning labs will be from 10-11:30 a.m. in various downtown buildings.

Evening schedule

All of the fall evening learning labs will be from 5:30-7 p.m. in various community buildings.

Learning Objectives

  1. Expand participants' understanding of equitable community engagement.
  2. Discover best practices, and avoid common pitfalls.
  3. Learn techniques that follow the City of Minneapolis’ Core Principles of Community Engagement based on the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) guidelines.
  4. Expand participants' understanding of several of the many cultural communities in Minneapolis.
  5. Learn historical beginnings, cultural norms and become familiar with culturally-specific media and institutions.
