Minneapolis City offices closed Monday, Dec. 25
Minneapolis City government offices, including Minneapolis 311, will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas Day holiday. City offices will resume regular business hours Tuesday, Dec. 26.
Christmas Day is this Sunday, and City offices are normally closed on that day. The observed holiday at the City will be Monday, Dec. 25, and there will be no City of Minneapolis garbage and recycling pickup on that day. Households’ garbage and recycling pickups scheduled for Dec. 25 will occur one day later (Dec. 26) than their normal schedule. In addition, the Solid Waste & Recycling Customer Service office and the Public Works Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25.
The City's parking meters will not be enforced Dec. 25. All other parking restrictions in the city remain in effect and subject to enforcement, including Park Board meters along Minneapolis parkways, University of Minnesota parking meters and those of private organizations who operate their own meters. Always read the information posted on the meter to be certain.
Minneapolis 311 will not be taking calls Monday. Minneapolis police and fire emergency services and 911 are not affected.
