Today’s tip –

Keep your cell phone safe

With the proliferation of smart phones, cell phone thefts have also skyrocketed nationwide. In recent week, a number of cell phone thefts have been also reported in Minneapolis. Typically the robber will steal an unattended phone or snatch the phone from someone’s hand and run. The stolen phones are then sold on the black market. A cellphone’s resale value can range from $100 - $300.

The police department's Third Precinct issued this list of tips to protect your cell phone from theft.
