Take advantage of online training to learn new computer skills

Although there are fewer instructor-led classes offered by the City, employees seeking to improve their computer skills can take advantage of free online training.

Thanks to the City’s partnership with InfoSource Inc., interested employees can take self-paced online training to learn a new computer program, brush up on a forgotten computer skill or improve Internet skills. Training topics cover computer fundamentals, email use, Internet use and Microsoft Office 2010 programs, including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word.

Please note that InfoSource offers training in both Microsoft Office 2010 and 2007 applications. Because all City computers have Office 2010, employees are advised to access courses and lessons listed in the Microsoft Office 2010 section.
