Hey, history buffs: Help the library write Minneapolis history Wikipedia entries

The library is calling on local history buffs to come to a Minneapolis history Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Saturday, Nov. 3. Volunteers will help write Wikipedia entries about topics of interest and, as a result, increase the depth of information on Minneapolis history.

Volunteers can pick a topic of interest or work from a list developed by the Hennepin County Library’s Special Collections librarians. Participants will use materials from the library’s Minneapolis Collection and be given a "behind-the-scenes" tour of the department and its resources. Instruction will be provided to people new to editing Wikipedia entries.
