Mike Christenson, legal support specialist
Criminal Division, City Attorney’s Office
Legal Support Services supervisor Pauline Bradford nominated Mike for his consistent ability to effectively solve problems, promote a win-win environment, improve office morale through actions that assist his fellow employees, and contribute to excellence in work products and outcomes:
“Mike Christenson consistently gets the job done. He’s completed last minute, time sensitive, complex requests without giving it a second thought. He continues to display a pleasant and positive attitude even in stressful situations.
“From a Criminal Division attorney: ‘A couple of weeks ago, I needed a last-minute transcript of two 911 calls for a trial. I went to Mike, and he took the assignment on without so much as batting an eyelash. He completed the task within 10 or 15 minutes and was nothing but pleasant about the entire business. Let me tell you, when you are stressed out and in trial, it makes a huge difference to have that kind of support.’
“Mike demonstrates the true meaning of being a ‘team’ player. He worked together with one of his coworkers to resolve a situation created by an outside delivery provider. Pick-up service was not completed for an important brief needed for an appeal in the 8th Circuit Court, so Mike took the initiative (and saved the day) by dropping off the time sensitive, important legal document at a downtown location on his way home from work.”
“I am nominating Mike for his outstanding, “take charge” attitude that has proved invaluable to our office time and time again. These are just two examples of many. Without Mike’s willingness to go above and beyond in these two important legal matters, the outcome could have been much different for our department.”
