Celebrate American Indian Month with the City

May marks American Indian Month in Minnesota, and the public is invited to join the City in celebrating the American Indian community at a kickoff event Friday, May 1.

The event starts with a parade beginning at 10 a.m. at Little Earth of United Tribes, 2495 18th Ave. S. The parade ends at the American Indian Center, 1530 E. Franklin Ave.

The kickoff celebration is sponsored in part by the City of Minneapolis, the Metropolitan Urban Indian Directors and the Native American Community Development Institute.
