And the winner is …
Celebrate the City’s first Super STAR winners May 13
See who wins the first ever Super STAR Awards at an awards ceremony at 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, in the City Hall Rotunda. The Super STAR Awards mark the culmination of the past year’s Minneapolis STAR Awards.
Since last fall, 34 employees received Special Thanks and Recognition for their excellence and extraordinary effort for the City through the STAR Awards employee recognition program. Of these winners, one Super STAR will be named the best of the year from each STAR Awards category:
- Shining STAR: Awarded to employees for their positive influence in the workplace.
- City STAR: Awarded to employees who made a significant impact on the City the previous year.
- North STAR: Awarded to outstanding leaders.
The three Super STARS will be announced at the awards ceremony by Council President Barb Johnson, and the event will include special remarks from City Coordinator Spencer Cronk and Chief Human Resource Officer Patience Ferguson. Following the event, the newly named Super STARs will receive recognition at the Committee of the Whole meeting at 10 a.m., wrapping up the City’s celebration of Public Service Recognition Week.
Nominations for the next STAR awards are due Sept. 18.
