Thank you for your service

It’s Public Service Recognition Week May 3-9, and the City is celebrating by honoring employees’ service with the new Service STAR awards. Service STARs are awarded to employees who achieve 15, 25 or 30 years of continuous service with the City. They are part of the Minneapolis STAR Awards, an employee recognition program that recognizes excellence and extraordinary effort demonstrated by City employees.

Service STARs are currently being awarded to employees who achieved 15, 25 or 30 years of continuous service in 2014. Those who achieve one of these milestones in 2015 will receive their Service STARs later this year.

Public Service Recognition Week honors federal, state, county and local government employees throughout the country annually during the first week of May.
