Performance management: By the numbers

PerformMinneapolis is the City’s comprehensive performance management system. It’s how to plan and do our work with an emphasis on results.

In 2014, 93 percent of the 1,204 employees using the PerformMinneapolis software completed their annual performance appraisal in the system. These participation numbers are well above industry standards.

There were several more departments with more than 95% participation.

Going forward

The goal is for all departments to begin using PerformMinneapolis by Jan. 1, 2016.

For the last three years, the focus has been on employee participation including setting work expectations (goals) and completing performance appraisals. Future emphasis will be placed on the quality of the appraisals in PerformMinneapolis and on employee development.
