Get to know Assistant Chief Arneson

Q. How would you describe your leadership style?
A.  I’m an innovator and a developer.

Q. What do you like best about working for the Police Department?
A.  Creating a better experience for victims of crime whether that be from the start of their experience with the responding officer or the follow-up investigation. I also enjoy working for a progressive employer who has allowed me to work on a number of initiatives that are helpful to the community and the police officers.

Q. What’s your favorite place for lunch in Minneapolis?
A.  Moose & Sadies, located in the North Loop.

Q. What music are you listening to lately?
A.  Just about anything on 97.1 and, of course, Minnesota Public Radio. I enjoy learning about what is going on worldwide and locally too.

Q. What’s your favorite quote?
A.  “You must do the things you think you cannot do.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

Q. What’s your favorite movie?
A.  “Postcards from the Edge” with Meryl Streep. Even though it’s billed as a comedy-drama, it’s really a story of rebuilding one’s life and of hope.
