I-team update

The Minneapolis Innovation Team has been on the ground for two months and has been hard at work examining the broad issues of racial and placed-based disparities within Minneapolis, getting to know the City, and digging into its first priority area.

The first focus of this team will be to reduce racial and placed-based housing disparities in Minneapolis. The “i-team” will work to find innovative approaches to improving the City services and policies that impact these disparities. You may be approached to work with this team as its members explore these issues, gather new ideas and plan for future implementation. Please share your knowledge, experience and new ideas with this team to help make sure that we as a City deliver measurable results for our residents.

You can read more about this work here, and if you have questions or comments, please contact the Innovation Team director, Don Joseph, at [email protected] or 612-673-2099.

You can also help the Innovation Team and its work on housing equity by spreading the word about the new hashtag campaign: #HomeIsThePlace. Minneapolis renters are encouraged to share their thoughts about home by tweeting @CityMinneapolis using the #HomeIsThePlace hashtag.
