Watch for your notice from Medica on your employee wellness program status

Medica recently sent out notices to each employee on the City’s health plan with information on whether the employee had reached 300 points in the employee wellness program. Employees with less than 300 points in the program as of June 30 received letters in the mail. Employees with more than 300 points and up to 599 points received emails from [email protected] with information on how to continue to earn gift cards in the employee wellness program. Check your mailbox or inbox for your communication.

How to check your points

You can check your points in the employee wellness program any time:

About the employee wellness program

When you earn 300 points in the employee wellness program by Aug. 31, 2015, you’ll qualify for the discounted wellness rate on your 2016 health insurance premiums. (In 2015, savings on the insurance premiums are about $400 a year for a single person and $1,200 a year for a family.) You will also receive a $20 gift card for every 100 points you earn in the program up to a maximum of $100 for 600 points. (Note: There is no gift card at the 300-point level because that is the level for a discounted rate on your health insurance premiums in 2016.)
