Are you losing emails to Clutter?

Microsoft created a new spam filter in Outlook called Clutter, and some of your important emails may be ending up there. You should check your Clutter folder daily. You may also turn the Clutter feature off.

You need to use Outlook’s Webmail application to turn the feature off, NOT your  desktop application. Here’s how to turn the feature off:

  1. Sign in to the Office 365 page using your City credentials.
    a.  On a City computer, you will need to use Internet Explorer to do this.
    b.   For help, see these instructions.
  2. At the top left corner of the page, select the App launcher App  icon, and then select “Mail.”

3.   On the top right corner of the page, go to Settings > Options > Mail > Automatic processing > Clutter.

4.   Turn Clutter off by selecting “Don't separate items identified as Clutter” or deselecting “Separate items identified as Clutter” then "Save."

Please note, the Clutter folder remains in Outlook after you turn off the Clutter feature.
