Hear big ideas from conference keynote speaker Shawntera Hardy
Shawntera M. Hardy, deputy chief of staff to Gov. Mark Dayton and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith, will share her big ideas as the keynote speaker at the 2016 Community Connections Conference. She’ll speak from noon to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 2, at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
As a member of the governor’s senior leadership team, Hardy solves policy and operational issues, working with cabinet members and partners to respond to crisis situations. She is also the cofounder and director of strategic growth for Civic Eagle, a technology company that bridges civic engagement and social networking, and the founder of PolicyGrounds Consulting, a policy and planning strategy firm.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Hardy holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs from the Ohio State University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the State University of New York’s Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning, where she was a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development fellow.
