CPED, Meet Minneapolis ask the community to envision the future of our city

How do we make the city an even more attractive, thriving, engaging destination for visitors and residents? Meet Minneapolis and the Community Planning and Economic Development Department want to know the visions you have for the future of Minneapolis. Your vision will help them create Destination Transformation 2030, a 15-year tourism master plan for the city. The plan will help shape the city we become, from attractions and green spaces to hotels, transportation, events and beyond.

While the plan focuses on how the city will develop its tourism assets, local residents will also benefit greatly from improved attractions and infrastructure that will come in the years ahead. Among many other benefits to the community, the plan will be a vehicle to drive economic development, create jobs, boost business and increase tax revenues.

Meet Minneapolis will do outreach and offer opportunities throughout the summer for the public to share their ideas for the future. To see an up-to-date list of these events and to learn more about Destination Transformation 2030, visit www.minneapolis.org/DT2030. On the site, residents and visitors can also take a short survey to share their favorite Minneapolis hotspots and attractions.
