New equity and inclusion website offers a space to learn, interact, engage
The City Coordinator’s Office of Equity and Inclusion launched a SharePoint site for you to take part in the City’s equity and inclusion work. You’ll find information and opportunities to get involved and engage with others on topics of race, culture and equity. You’ll also learn more about everything the City is doing to advance racial equity.
The new SharePoint site features interactive tools, learning resources and a calendar of events. It will showcase what departments are doing and where they are collaborating in interdepartmental teams to advance racial equity. It will also provide a set of tools to help City employees build a shared culture and language around equity.
The new site offers a discussion board that allows you to chat with your coworkers about equity and inclusion. Whether you seek friendly and supportive feedback or discovered something you want to share, this discussion board gives you a place to engage with your coworkers across the City.
You can start a new post or respond to an existing post. The board is monitored to ensure all posts adhere to the City's anti-harassment, discrimination and retaliation policy.
Learn about opportunities to get involved and engage with others through the calendar of events. It features equity and inclusion events and programs offered in the City and throughout the community, including:
- READ book club discussions. READ stands for Reading for Equity And Diversity.
- Advancing Racial Equity speaker series.
- Training opportunities.
Deepen your understanding of racial equity and learn about actions you can take to help create One Minneapolis with the website’s:
- Bias assessments.
