Sign up for three new classes on lower stress, living within your means and eating healthy

The City’s Wellness Committee now offers employees three free classes on managing your stress, making ends meet and eating healthy on a budget. The hour-long classes will be offered in July and August. Each class has a maximum enrollment of 40 and will be held in the City of Lakes Building, Room 101, 309 Second Ave. S.

Stress Management 101
Learn how to identify stressors and understand their impact, and how to manage stress. (Two sessions offered.)

Living off Your Paycheck
Common sense, no-nonsense advice for making ends meet. This seminar will cover goal setting – how your money beliefs can affect the way you save and spend. We will discuss how to reduce debt, learn the difference between “meat and gravy,” and get tips on how to increase wealth.

Healthy Food on a Budget
We frequently get caught in the belief that making healthy choices exacts a hefty cost on our budget. This program will offer tips for finding the food that’s best for us at a price we can afford. The program also provides a couple of affordable, healthy recipes.
