Metro Transit lowers Metropass replacement fees

Effective July 1, Metro Transit will lower its replacement fee for lost and stolen Metropass cards from $25 to $5. There is no replacement fee for a defective card, which must be returned to Metro Transit. Metro Transit limits replacements to two a year. Exceptions to the replacement limit may be made for extenuating circumstances.

A Metropass gives you unlimited Metro Transit bus and train rides. City employees receive a discount on the monthly Metropass fee. Once you enroll, your share of the cost of the Metropass is automatically deducted from your pre-tax pay each month. You’ll receive a Metropass card that you scan on the bus or at the METRO station.
