Conquer your fear of public speaking at Toastmasters
Minneapolis City Hall has three Toastmasters clubs that can help you become a more effective and confident public speaker.
Toastmasters offers participants the chance to practice their meeting and speaking skills by giving a prepared or impromptu speech and serving as a timer, speech evaluator or grammarian. The goal is to provide a supportive and positive learning environment so that every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.
Choose from these meeting times:
- The Goal Getters Toastmasters group meets from noon to 1 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of the month (first and third Tuesdays in August) in Room 333 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org, visit goalgetters.toastmastersclubs.org or call 612-567-4946.
- The Russell H. Conwell Toastmasters group meets at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays in Room 319 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information, email Ge Lee or call 651-325-8073.
- The Roller Toasters Toastmasters club meets from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesdays in Room A110 at the Hennepin County Government Center. For more information, email Club President William Moore or Club Vice President of Education Robin Westacott.
