Help make work awesome

The My Minneapolis Employee Engagement Survey launches next week. The survey gives you an opportunity to share your opinions about work. Make your voice heard by participating. Most City employees have until Nov. 30 to take the survey. (Convention Center employees must take the survey by Nov. 4.)

The City conducts the survey to learn how to improve our work environment to best meet your needs. City employees are the reason for its success, and the City wants to ensure a workplace where you can succeed and feel valued.

The survey is completely anonymous:

How to take the survey

New this year, you will receive a unique hyperlink from Perceptyx via email to take the survey. Don’t share your hyperlink with your colleagues. It is preloaded with your demographic data. This ensures your demographic data is included with your survey response to help the City work toward its equity goals. Click on your unique survey hyperlink on a computer, tablet or smartphone to take the survey online during your regular work hours. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

You may also access the survey via a general link. Find the link on the home page of CityTalk or as an icon on the desktop of most City computers, or visit If you use this general link to access the survey, you’ll need to log in to the survey with your employee ID number. This is so your demographic data is tied to your survey responses to help the City work toward its equity goals. Your demographic data has been preloaded into the survey with your employee ID number. Read the instructions for completing the survey online using the general survey link.

The employee engagement survey will only be available electronically in keeping with efforts to become a zero waste City. No paper copies will be available. You may take the survey on any internet-connected device. These open computer labs are available to take the survey, complete your open enrollment and complete your performance appraisal:
